Le 30 mars 1893, à Lyon, retour à Dieu de l'abbé Michael O'Donnell, à l'âge de 22 ans.

Michael O'Donnell était né en 1871 dans le diocèse de Tuam (Irlande). Il fit ses études à Cork et arriva à Lyon en septembre 1891. Il y fut tonsuré après avoir fait le serment. Dieu se contenta de sa volonté de partir vers l'Afrique et le rappela à Lui.

Michael O'Donnell was born in the archdiocese of Tuam, on 14 October 187l. He died in Lyon, France, on 30 March 1893.

We know very little about Michael. He came to the S.M.A. many years before the Irish branch had achieved Provincial status (1912). He studied at St. Joseph's college Wilton, Cork, which provided post primary formation, going on to the Society's seminary at Cours Gambetta, Lyon, France, for his ecclesiastical training which he commenced on 17 September 1891. He was admitted to permanent membership of the Society in 1893. Shortly afterwards he received the tonsure (minor orders). However he was never to reach priesthood, dying at Lyon, on 30 March, 1893.

He is buried in Lyon, France.
